Mother's Day dearly and affectionately remembered for all of our Mothers who have passed, second Mothers who have passed and for those Mothers who passed away in abusive Conservatorships and Guardianships.
We love you Moms in Spirit...always. 🌹🌹🌹🕊️

And we send love and healing to the Sons and Daughters who protected their Moms, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Today is difficult for many advocates, adult children, knowing that they cannot bring flowers to, hug, nor spend the time that was stolen from them with their dear Moms. 🙏🏽❤️‍🩹 We love u and hang in there today.

#mothersday #conservatorships #guardianships #humanrights #civilrights

Please know that this type of treatment of our beloved Elderly occurs in every state in our Nation. NO ONE deserves to be treated as such. The Elderly and deemed Dependent Adults sadly and disgustingly get mistreated like this ALL of the time. This could be your dear grandfather, grandmother, aunt, uncle, friends like family, your spouse, your neighbor and one day this could be you as you age.

Let's not allow "caregivers" who are not caring, Conservators, Guardians who never "guard" or distant absentee relatives to take over the lives of those we love and treat them like this.

FIGHT FOR THEM. Please STAND UP.

@elderlylivesmatterusa does not know this man who stood up for this dear elderly man but we support him and we are thankful that he exists in this world.❤️‍🩹

We sincerely hope that this Elderly Beloved Man gets the true care he needs - and this fake caregiver woman GOES TO JAIL. Because, in our opinion, in which we have a right to, that's where she belongs.

REPOST: @its_onsite & specifically Jonathan Pigford - Bless you for sharing this video so we could share it too.

A man in Wilmington, North Carolina is speaking out after what he says was a disturbing situation involving his elderly neighbor.

In a now-viral video, he claims the man was outside wearing only a diaper and T-shirt when he tried to help him back home, but says the caregiver stopped him and made the elderly man turn around instead. According to him, she allegedly said she was “teaching him a lesson.”

The man later shared that he contacted authorities, saying his only goal is to make sure his neighbor is safe and treated with dignity.

Mary Bush, @endfraudulentguardianships Founder & one of our co-Founders with us at @elderlylivesmatterusa posted most recently on an Elder Conservatorship/Guardianship post. She has been in this Elder Abuse Fight for 21 years. None of us should be experts in this battle. The dignity of the Elderly and the Dependent Adult should be expressly afforded to them along with their human, civil, constitutional and ADA rights. There should be NO question. The Elderly + have the RIGHT to LIVE life on their terms. Not on the terms of those who seek to take from them because they appear vulnerable as older people. This is the type of evil that must END. Mary Bush's Dear Mom was un-alived in one of the more abusive Guardianships we've ever seen. Justice will be had. WE will NEVER GIVE UP.

Our sincere apologies that we've been away for so long. During the blank spaces and zero posts, we are supporting and working to save the lives of the Elderly, their families and/or their activists who support them through immediate or emergent action or through Policy and new laws that we work for. We work to protect specifically the Elderly & Dependent Adults trapped in abusive Conservatorships and Guardianships across the Nation.

Small Change - please also join us on the weekends for uplifting stories or posts, (like this one), of/for the Elderly as the daily reality,
other posts we will share are harsh and reveal the worst side of crimes against the Elderly. We love you, thank you for hanging in with us.

Thank you for your continued support of the work.

Last week, a few of our @elderlylivesmatterusa Founders & Members actually were able to meet at the same time, in the same state, the same time zone from as far as DC to CA, in order to assist an incredible woman working to get her elderly Mom out of an abusive situation. It is actually bad, very bad. We have smiles on our faces in this moment because we had a good day and also because we were all together in one place in order to get the work done. I ALSO want to thank our other stellar Co-Founders & Founding Members of ELM-USA and other amazing advocates who are outside of our group who took the ♥️♥️♥️time to write letters to the court about the injustices the Elderly & Dependent Adults face in the Probate court stating the laws in place or the laws that they helped pass and for their heartfelt, solid, and very passionate support for this Daughter, her Elderly Mom and her grandchildren, all of whom she wasn't able to see for almost 2 years until this week. A special Thank You to Richard I. Fine & Janice Grenadier, both have a beyond encyclopedia understanding of the law, one as a retired international Counsel and the other as an ADA Advocate. Thank you BOTH & all for ALWAYS bringing it. A good week yes, but we have so much more work to do on this case.🔥

UPDATE - WACO, TX - JUSTICE FOR JOHNNIE. There is still more work to do but THIS IS A HUGE WIN!!! GUARDIANS, sometimes "Care-Givers" & CONSERVATORS typically never want to give up the reigns that they hold on our Elderly Loved Ones & Friends. But this man had to resign. Congratulations Brad Sharp & Ashley Karger YOU ARE WARRIORS for your Family!!! Keep going!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥We ALL support you and stand with you. ELM-USA will always stand with the SHARP FAMILY as they work to get their Mom full & complete Justice.

Pls Scroll Left for News Story (Video Credit - @kwtx)

We fully support @bradsharp73 & @ashleykarger for the incredibly determined fight that they have fought for the sake of Brad's Mom - Johnnie Ann Sharp❤️‍🩹. Those who were isolating her and are now charged with financial fraud upon her are all in Jail right now. Not to mention the severe health concerns and conditions that Ms. Johnnie has suffered under their lack of care. Pls listen to the news story (2nd video) I've also posted 2 articles in re to this case here. Please if you can continue to support Justice For Johnnie and her family Brad & Ashley when you can. Sometimes just words of encouragement help. They were in court today for the Bond Hearing for these people who have harmed his Mom. We at @elderlylivesmatterusa fully and will always support Brad & Ashley/Justice For Johnnie and the battle they fight. Brad & Ashley are also Founding Co-Founders at ELM-USA❤️‍🩹 in which we are thankful for their support as well.

Otherwise, We love you Johnnie!!!! - even though you can't hear us from here and we love your family too.

We are hoping for Johnnie's full and absolute freedom soon. Currently she is "safe" and no longer with the people who would not let her see her family and in my opinion, enslaved her.

Elderly Lives Matter USA couldn’t be more proud of Org friend and ELM-USA Co-Founder & Founder of KasemCares - @kerrikasem , her tenacity to help those in need in actual times of need is profound and this past weekend, Firemen & Fire Women and Kerri were honored for their work; for the Fire Dept for literally saving so many lives and homes (and everyone in reality) during the LA Fires. For Kerri for leading the 2600 person Volunteer Minister Disaster Relief Team during that horrific time. It was such an emotional & moving evening. 👨🏼‍🚒👩🏾‍🚒❤️‍🩹 Honored to be there and honored to uplift those who protected our various counties.

We wonder if some still think we are playing about Abusers of the Elderly for Money. Please watch this video. And thank you @dailymail for consistently being unafraid to reveal these truths to the Public.

This is the dramatic moment a daughter clasped her dying mother’s hand, forced a pen into it, and ‘propelled’ her to sign a $900,000 fortune to her. Margaret Baverstock, 76, was so ill she could ‘barely flicker an eyelid’ in March 2021 when she was ‘forced’ to sign a will by her daughter Lisa. The cold-hearted act resulted in her older brother John Baverstock, 61, being cut out of Margaret’s estate with everything left to Lisa, resulting in a legal battle between the siblings. #news #crime #family

From one of the last reels we shared on behalf of #freeTheresaFerguson & her daughter @carriesellsvegas and her very strong family. This is the result. She got freed from the hospital at least quicker than most elderly get freed and some never do. Yet, the Ohio Guardian who chased her down from OH to Nevada insists that SHE (the Guardian) still MUST control this sweet yet strong 91 yo lady’s money. Sad and disgusting. But thankful that Las Vegas news station @vanessareporting was BOLD enough to cover it. More later, but take a look, this is a some of the fight that families endure trying to save our Elderly & Dependent Adults from Conservatorships & Guardianships. And fighting for human, civil, constitutional and ADA that should should already simply have. So happy for your Mom, you and your family Carrie-GLAD she’s home with you.
@Collectively across our Nation we continue to stand together and Fight! Trust you will NOT miss us. The atrocities against our elderly must and will end. @elderlylivesmatterusa

We are not sitting down on this, as activists we never do. This is just 1 video there are more of the security guard & nurse blocking her from leaving the hospital with her family trying to just go home.

Mom was discharged from hospital yesterday, but Summerlin Hospital won’t let her leave with me… violating her constitutional rights. The Ohio guardian Justine Winger from Atlas wants her back in a facility to further exploit her…even tho she’s not once attenpted to check on her since Dec 3…two months after fleeing Ohio on my mothers request, and rescue her. @caintracey @angeliquefawcette @cearjustice @ Jean Schafer-Leslie @elderlylivesmatterusa #stopelderabuse #91yearsold

🌹How good people treat the Elderly🌹Nothing beats love, compassion and understanding.

Elderly people often value the following most:

1. **Companionship**: Social interaction and meaningful relationships with family and friends are crucial for emotional well-being.

2. **Respect**: They appreciate being treated with dignity and respect, acknowledging their life experiences and wisdom.

3. **Independence**: Maintaining autonomy and the ability to make their own decisions is important for preserving a sense of control and self-worth.

4. **Health and Comfort**: Access to good healthcare, comfortable living conditions, and proper nutrition are essential for physical well-being.

5. **Safety**: Feeling secure in their environment and having measures in place to ensure their safety is a top priority.

6. **Purpose**: Engaging in activities that give them a sense of purpose, such as hobbies, volunteering, or spending time with loved ones, contributes to a fulfilling life.

7. **Financial Stability**: Having financial security or support helps reduce stress and ensures their basic needs are met.

8. **Quality Care**: If they need assistance, receiving compassionate and competent care is vital for their overall satisfaction.

9. **Personal Connection**: Frequent and genuine communication from loved ones helps them feel valued and connected.
